INSTRUCTIONS FOR E-MAIL LIST SERVER AT THE-VAA.ORG

 

Thanks for taking the time to subscribe to the Vermont Ambulance Association’s mailing list.  By having this list it makes it easier for officers and members of the association to send group e-mails to all members of the VAA.  They simply have to type in one e-mail address in the “TO” field and the message will automatically be sent to everyone on the list.  The validity of the list, however, depends on the users.  No longer will each person have to maintain an individual group in their respective address books and keep it updated when anyone adds or changes an e-mail address.  The person who changes their e-mail address or adds an e-mail address is responsible for submitting it to the list if they want to receive e-mails.  The list-wide e-mail address for the group is members@the-vaa.org  If you want to send an e-mail to all members of the group, use the members@the-vaa.org address.

 

The following are the commands and instructions for adding or deleting an e-mail address on the list server”

 

Members can "Join" or "Leave" the list by sending email to: members-request@the-vaa.org with either "join" or "leave" in the subject line.  Please leave the message area blank.  This e-mail needs to be sent from the e-mail address that  you wish to add.  If that’s not possible you can send an e-mail to pbrooks@the-vaa.org and I will add you manually.  Once your request has been received and confirmed, you address will be added to the list and you will receive an e-mail back confirming that you have been added.

 

This mailing list processor also understands the following commands:
   

    HELP
       
    JOIN
